Direct operated pressure reducing valves. Available to purchase now from the AC Hydraulics online shop.
A hydraulic system allows the power stored in pressurised liquid to be used to perform work that an unassisted human would be unable to perform. Common examples include forklift trucks or stamping presses.
Any sort of hydraulic system will consist of a reservoir of fluid (oil), a pump to move the oil around the system and more complex systems will have a variety of branches for the fluid to move through. Not all branches will be able to deal with the same pressure and indeed in certain applications it is not desirable to have all branches working to the same pressure.
Here at AC Hydraulics we have a range of Bosch Rexroth pressure reducing valves and our Engineered Services team will be happy to discuss your exact requirements with you.
A pressure reducing valve is a component that maintains a constant, reduced pressure in a fluid filled system. Internally a pilot line of fluid is used to automatically restrict the flow of fluid from input to output by creating pressure against a control spring. This causes the spring to move a control spool to create the required output pressure.
They can be used any time a reduced or constant pressure is required in a system.
All components have minimum and maximum working pressures. Not all components have the same maximum working pressures and in some systems it would be very easy to create a scenario in which fluid is pumped into a component at a higher pressure than it can tolerate. This would lead to leakage, reduced lifespan, and operational difficulties and in extreme cases the component could fail destructively.
In order to choose the correct pressure reducing valve you need to know the minimum and maximum pressures your system will experience and the flow rate required. This, coupled with the size of pipework in use in the rest of the system, will allow you to calculate the correct values for the valve you need.
At AC Hydraulics we have a dedicated Engineered Services team who can help you choose the correct valve for your system.
Pressure reducing valves need to be installed so that the pilot line can be actuated in order for them to work correctly. Our Engineered Services team will be happy to discuss installation issues with you and our dedicated team of technicians can assist with installation if you lack the necessary expertise.
Our online shop is able to supply a variety of pressure reducing valves and we can deliver then in just 1 to 2 working days in the UK if required. International delivery is also possible. Whatever you’re looking for in terms of a pressure reducing valves, at AC Hydraulics, we’re only too happy to talk over you needs to find the right solution for you.
